Here's a great offer that just dropped into our inbox for all of you SoCal Edison customers who are interested in updating their interior lighting to more energy efficient illumination. Operation Light Exchange allows customers to exchange up to 10 working plug-in lamp fixtures per household per day for brand lamps with energy efficient new fluorescent bulbs. The styles tend to lean toward traditional, but we might drop by ourselves to switch out some of our own mother's lighting so we can cut her energy expenditure...

Operation Light Exchange is an energy efficiency program that allows residential customers of Southern California Edison to exchange inefficient halogen and incandescent light fixtures for new, FREE Energy Star labeled lamps.

Bring in a combination of up to ten of your old:

  • Halogen Torchieres, or
  • Incandescent Floor Lamps, or
  • Incandescent Table Lamps, or
  • Incandescent Desk Lamps

and exchange them for FREE new energy efficient fluorescent plug-in lamp fixtures of the same type - for example, exchange one old energy guzzling desk lamp and one old floor lamp for one new energy efficient desk lamp and one new floor lamp.

Participants must show they are a Southern California Edison residential customer by bringing their SCE bill and/or CA driver's license with their zip code falling within SCE service territory. The next event will be:

Sept. 18 & 19, 2010 Saturday & Sunday 8:00am to 1:00pm Torrance, CA KMART (Parking Lot) 19330 Hawthorne Boulevard Torrance, CA 90503
