Sometimes I like to swoon over things I can't afford, things almost no one can afford. It's pure escapism. And what's more escapist than taking a hot relaxing bath in a tub carved from semi-precious stone? Nothing.
I'm not sure which one of these tubs I'd prefer to take a fantasy bath in. The Lineatre has tufted white leather with crystal buttons and a shower curtain that can double as a tapestry. The Baldi stone tubs are decadent. The purple one is carved out of amethyst, but I find the emerald color of the malachite more appealing. The House of Tetard-Haudiquez-Grisoni (THG) created this visually stunning art deco tub with gold leaf inlay, which includes a hydrotherapy system and a headrest. THG also designed the Arabasque tub with baroque back lighting. The light source is LED so there is no need to worry about electrocution (which can quickly kill a good day dream) and the ambient light would certainly add to any relaxing atmosphere.
I'm at a loss. I guess it's fortunate that I will never be faced with the tough decision of choosing just one bathtub worth more than the GNP of a small country!

These are ridiculous. I wonder what the matching toilet looks like.
I'd actually dig the colored crystals, minus the feet and the hojillion dollar price tag.
Perfect...
...for the first dozen wives palaces in Dubai.
Upholstered, tufted, bathtub. REALLY!?
Bepsf... I've seen the Green Malachite one in a shop here in Dubai Mall... INSANE! Didn't have the courage to go check out the price tag unfortunately... :P
I'm not a big bath person but damn I could stare at that amethyst bathtub all day!
Wow. These kind of look as though they came from a Vegas bordello, circa 1978. While I love a touch of luxury in my bath, this stuff is just over the top and gaudy.
Wow... want. LOL
HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!!
(You'd know I was Irish with that exclimation)
Aaah, after a long day of organized crime...Calgon, take me away!
Malachite is such a fragile stone--it breaks so easily. Surely it's tempered with something.
That last one. Oh my pants, just let me lick it. Or bathe in it. I'd prefer bathing, actually. But it's pretty enough to lick. (I've just discovered that this is how I measure how much I covet or love something--by whether or not I'd lick it. I don't know what this says about me....)
If I had that beautiful green tub, I would feel like a mermaid...now where did I put my tail??
