Don't know about orange kitchens, not my thing. But, my entry hall is "spiced pumpkin" and I get compliments all the time.
some design trends are really losing me.... wall paper is one... the 60's colors (orange, gold, avocado green) trend is another.
the kitchen pictured above looks cute, but I personally would tire of the color in about a week. Orange is not something that is often easy to live with in large quantities.....
i love it. reminds me of my 70's childhood and in a good way! to me, orange always says 'happy'.
Only if the owners have no intention of ever selling their house.
My kitchen walls are bright orange. Everyone that sees them says "It's not a color I would have picked for myself, but here it looks GOOD".
I love orange - but I don't know about it as a color for kitchen cabinets...
The first is far too "yellow" - and the others are too "Home Depot Service Counter" or remind me of the orange metal cabinets in the laboratory where I worked while in the military.
Aww, it reminds me of the Brady Bunch.
Isn't it the opposite - that you are NOT supposed to have an orange or red kitchen because it makes you eat more?
Go Vols?
I kinda like the second one, but probably only because it's a reddiish-orange. I tend not to like orange, but I think the problem here isn't the color as much as where it's used (cabinets) and the finish (I think they're all high-gloss finishes).
If the cabinets were glossy white and the walls were, say semi-gloss orange in the second kitchen, (basically reversing the colors), I think it would look a lot better. You get your orange fix on if that's your thing, but you can easily change it.
Liking orange in the kitchen, just not so much on the cabinets. I prefer having orange walls with white cabinets. Loving the translucent orange chairs in the first picture. Any idea where they are from?
I'm a huge fan of orange, but don't particularly like any of these. Hm.
I love orange, but I wouldn't have orange cabinets. It would be too expensive to change when I tired of it.
You forgot to mention Uncle Thorvald's Happy Kitchen which you posted before. Okay, it doesn't go with the contemporary ones above but it still lives in my bookmarks.
Needed to shorten the link: http://bit.ly/4neaor
this just reminds me of my Sindy doll kitchen as a child:

I much prefer Heather's coral kitchen in Montreal.
These all look rather science lab-like to me.
Oh yes, I love Uncle Thorvald's kitchen as well... thanks for the link!
Great if you really love Princeton or Halloween.
I really dislike all of these kitchens. I like orange, but I think it's better used as an accent or on the walls with the cabinets a more neutral color.
I love number 3. It takes a certain person to be able to have orange cabinets and make it work.
All the pictures are only of orange cabinets. Don't know if I could live with that. In my kitchen, the walls are tangerine orange, with white wainscoting and cabinets. It works cause it's not too much colour!
A little orange goes a long way.
I don't care for orange at all, but that first kitchen is really stunning. I'm not sure if I'd pair orange with black (or a really dark gray) like they've done there, though. Too Halloween. I'd probably stick to orange and white, which looks really fresh, with maybe a lighter gray in spots.
Whoever said orange was the new pink was seriously disturbed.
My fiancée literally craves for orange. Our living room is all orange seating and I can't wait to get rid of them all.
Sorry, no orange kitchen for me. It's too chaotic for my taste in kitchen and tiresome.
These are so much fun! The kitchen with The blue walls and the orange cabinets is very elegant but my favorite is the orange cabinets with the white counter top and white back splash. Today's orange is fun and vibrant not dull like in the 70's.
I think those cabinets are classic, but I draw the line at the chairs.
My mom's kitchen is orange, with a lavendar ceiling. Everyone in her conservative, Midwestern town thought she was crazy for doing it. But after she painted it, EVERYONE was talking about how great it looked!

I was thinking of adding some Rubrik Orange cabinet doors to our IKEA kitchen. Thank God the Dear Other talked me out of it....
I kind of really like the white/orange coffee table in the first picture. Anyone know where to find it? Couldn't find it on Home-Designing...
