Orbis World Globe

We wrote about this illuminated globe last week, but we're even more excited about the Orbis World Globe. It uses actual NASA satellite images for true accuracy and the cities light up when you turn the lights off. Can't you just see this bouncing around your playroom?

Actually, according to the manufacturer, even though they're inflated, they're perfect spheres, 100% wrinkle-free, and would fool you into believing they're made of a more rigid material. The material is phthalate-free PVC, and the globes come in 16 inch or 40 inch sizes (we say go big!). They even come with a 20 page booklet with educational resources and games.

We're thinking fill one with helium and make it the focal point of a green or "world"-themed birthday party.

The 40 inch globe is available here for $99.
