Stroller boards are a popular option for parents with one child needing a stroller all the time and one who only needs one some of the time. Your kids may not be catching air with it, but Orbit has put their spin on the traditional board with a skateboard-style attachment for older kids who want to catch a ride now and again and feel cool doing it.
There are some functional advantages to the Sidekick as well:
• you can attach two Sidekicks to accomodate a total of three children
• the Sidekick flips up for when you're not using it (or fully detaches)
• the Sidekick is positioned off to the side making it more comfortable for the parent pushing
The Sidekick is only for use with Orbit's G2 stroller and will begin shipping in early October. You can read the full specs at Orbit.com.
What do you think? Would your kids enjoy riding on a skateboard stroller board?

Z2 iPod Dock and Wi...
My son (4) would love this for seasonal fairs, farmers' markets, etc. He got pretty pooped yesterday at our local Fall festival and had to be carried back to the car after two hours.
I'm sure it costs a lot but would be a great investment with the first or second kid if you plan on a larger family.
I take that back. I just checked the price and I'd rather use my $900 plus $120 per skateboard for a nice couch. Or rent.
Yiiikes, that is a lot of money (for stroller + accessory). Cool idea, though! Has there ever been an article reviewing some of the "universal" stroller boards? I'd like to know if any are worth it. Here are a few I've found online...
Rider Elephant Kiddy Board / Rider Pony Kiddy Board
E-Z Step Universal Stroller Wheel Board
Lascal BuggyBoard
Bugaboo Universal Wheeled Board
(This one looks like it would fit my non-Bugaboo stroller, but is it truly "universal" or just universal for Bugaboo strollers?)
Ouch, didn't know it was $120... but all Orbit stuff is expensive I guess. We have the first edition stroller and it is such a bummer they didn't make this compatible with it. I'm sure we would have ended up getting it, despite the ridic pricetag.
Tiffany,
My husband enquired about a sidekick for the original stroller through their facebook page and this is the reply he received form Orbit support team.
Thank you for your email and interest in the Sidekick Stroller Board for Stroller G2. We know that many parents like yourself have our original stroller frame (model no. ORB801000) and would like to use the Sidekick Stroller Board. We are in process of finalizing the details of a limited upgrade program. Once the program is available we would like to contact you with the information. If you are still interested please reply with your first name, last name, and email address.

My concern is the uneven weight distribution. How does it make sense to have a child in the stroller, and then a 30lb+ kid standing on ONE side?? With the bugaboo style board, the child is standing in the middle. What do you guys think?
wow, as if strollers couldn't get any bigger or more obnoxious in crowds here comes a huge one with two kids hanging on the sides..
