We've gotten into cooking a lot more recently, but sometimes after a late night at the office, we'll pull out an Amy's frozen pizza. We rationalize that they're cheaper and quicker than takeout... but is it really just another TV dinner?
We had stopped eating packaged frozen food for the most part a few years ago, but we've been swayed by the organic high fiber or whole wheat frozen "entrees." Kashi dinners aren't too high in sodium, and we think Annie's pizzas are pretty tasty. Plus, there's no waiting for a delivery guy, and we know we won't wind up dropping $20 on dinner.
But as a health rule, ordering Thai take out from the restaurant down the block, we know we're going to have fresh vegetables, plus we can usually save half for lunch the next day. And of course, then we're supporting a local business and the delivery guy comes on bicycle.
What do you think?
