Organize It! Creative Ways to Store Craft Supplies

Organizing arts and craft areas can be a bit challenging. Supplies come in all different shapes and sizes, as liquid or solid, and are fragile or bulky. That said, you can find very useful storage solutions if you think outside of the box. Featured here are some clever storage solutions made from unconventional items.

Even better, many of these creative organizing solutions are eco-friendly, made of salvaged or repurposed materials.

Shown above from left to right:
1. A hanging canvas shoe organizer doubles as window treatment and craft supply storage!
2. A salvaged railing (from a discarded crib, porch railing, fencing etc.) serves as the framework for hanging mini shelving, hooks, rods and baskets. (Get the how-to instructions from Elizabeth from Crafty Nest.)
3. A repurposed towel bar installed at eye-level keeps supplies in arm's reach. Shelving doesn't work this low because it would be within head-bopping range.
4. A coffee or bar cart makes an excellent paper station and can be rolled out of sight when you need more floor space.
5. A salvaged plank repurposed into a shelf holds vintage tins for brushes and paints.
