With the start of each new year, I often get the urge to completely reorganize our home office. While there is a plethora of cute office supplies out there, I really love the simple and sustainable products offered by ReBinder.
ReBinder is a Seattle-based company that produces 100% recycled, USA-made products made from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) chipboard or SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative) corrugated cardboard. According to the company's website, 500 metric tons of toxic PVC end up in landfills each year as the result of the vinyl notebooks that many of us use. ReBinder offers a better alternative. Not only are their products recycled, but they are also recyclable – in fact, if the cover gets damaged you can even swap it out with a replacement cover. It's as simple as removing two screws! (For the record, I've been using ReBinders for the last couple of years and they've held up great.) In addition to the humble binder, the company also sells notebooks, divider tabs, CD sleeves, custom business cards, and for the super organized – labels!
(Tip: ReBinder products are also sold on Amazon and at many Office Max stores.)
