Friday's Leap Year! A once-in-every-four-years happening! While we missed the opportunity to throw a party for Halloween, Mardi Gras and other masked holidays, we've always loved the idea of a masked ball. Leap year, named because traditionally it was a day not recognized under English law, seems the perfect day for such an event. A day without rules; anything can happen! So much the better if you're wearing a mask. But where to locate a supply of masks in February?...
We checked out one of our favorite on-line party resources, Oriental Trading Company. They had just what we were looking for. We're especially partial to this Deluxe Mask Masquerade Assortment ($24.95 per dozen). They're also a great resource for everything party from craft supplies to favors. We're looking forward to getting our party on. What rule-breaking mischief are you planning?

Just a shout out for Oriental Trading Company - as a homegrown Nebraska girl I'd like to point out that OTC is a family owned company in Omaha.
Or at least it was up until I moved from Omaha in 2002 - maybe they have a larger holder now, in the event the Wantanabe's sold. Which I highly doubt.
They are also one of Omaha's larger employers!
Support Mid-American business!
Thank you!
