Orla Kiely put her signature mark on a shed that provides a place to sit and watch TV or read and relax. It's a vintage inspired scheme that uses her patterns everywhere, but in a way that I find completely appealing and not overwhelming.
I am in love with the shade of green that she choose for the exterior and am wondering if garden buildings painted in interesting shades of green might be an emerging trend after so many years of outbuildings swathed in bright blues and other eye popping colors. I saw the more muted earthy tones for backdrops throughout Chelsea, and I for one welcome this move towards more subtly interesting garden paint.
There were five of these sheds in a grassy area set aside for relaxing and getting away from the push of the crowds. The others were designed by Vicki Conran of Conran, Kaffe Fassett, Annabel Lewis (of VV Rouleaux) and Nikki Tibbles, the founder of Wild at Heart (a popular florist in London). I'll post all of them, if you care to see a few more?

I am very excited to bring you first hand coverage of the world renowned Chelsea Flower Show this year in London. The show, which opened today, is as good as ever and one of my favorite new things for 2012 is the Artisan Retreats. The Royal Horticultural Society asked five of the UK's most creative and stylish people to decorate a garden retreat, and each of the results are full of inspiration.

Yah, care to see a few more plz!
More photos!
Great post, but it's actually spelled Kiely, not Keily, so the link to her site will not take you anywhere. :)
Cute as a button. That seems to be "the" green these days.
Yes! Please post them. I collect Greenhouse and Potting Shed ideas as though someday I’ll magically acquire one, just by having looked at them long enough.
Cutest shed ever!
My favorite designer here is the correct link:

Cute, and I'd like to see the others! I like it all except the wallpaper.
I'm with TELLAGRAHAM about the wall paper but everything else rocks. Man, those windows and that funky green color is wonderful!
I want one!
this is so cute! i love everything about it!
Yes, please post photos of other inspirational garden sheds! it's a mini-vacation just to look at them.
love this, would like one for a guest house, the wallpaper is nice, but the outside green makes me a little pukey
Enter Hansel and Gretel
Thanks Heatherette...the spelling (and the link) have been corrected.
One more veto for the wallpaper, but otherwise I want this in my yard with heat and running water to be my craft studio! Now, please! (I guess that particular green, as much as I love it, would clash a bit the the teal/forest green of my house, but I could find a bright color that works...)
Joy. I love the green, the tv, the bookshelf, and the wallpaper on the ceiling.
is that vinyl siding?
I adore the wallpaper!
Please post all the others! Especially Vicki Conran...
wonder if there are plans anywhere for this shed - i agree - i'd love to use it as a guesthouse or a rooftop deck addition...kind of reminds me of the pretty prefab sheds that are popping up everywhere...
This is so sweet I can feel the sugar rush! Adorable!
I also find the wallpaper too much (would love a piece of it framed in there, instead of all over the ceiling and walls), but otherwise I utterly ADORE it. The green is perfect, the windows, the mix and match of retro furniture...I would love a little nook like this.
Adore, adore, adore.
Veto for TV set!
That color looks TOO gorgeous in a garden. Am thinking of painting my old garden furniture chartreuse.
I love it! Having that shed gives it such a homey feel and the color is wonderful. I live in the country and the whole scene fits right in. I also like special small spaces that are mine to read, think, or visit with my best friend.
Yes, I would love to see more! So inspirational!
This is amazing, I just love it.
Yup..such a great space but why do I remember this already?
I do believe I want to live in that garden shed.
Blame it on the playhouse of my childhood.
I may not be able to live in the shed, but my front door should definitely be that shade of green.
Does anyone know name of the color?
That's my favorite shade of green these days. I'm painting my kitchen a slightly more muted version.
Forget the kids... I'm moving in!
