We'll be the first to admit that we hate doing dishes. But maybe if we had one of these ornamental drains we would change our minds?

$100 and available here.

just as silly, overpriced, and impractical as it was the last three times it was posted on at!
I try not to be a whiner, but this is the third time that an AT site has blogged this pretty but useless (the holes are too big to strain anything) and ludicrously overpriced tchotchke.
I suppose I'll be the third person to tell you this is your third time posting this. I actually thought these were an interesting idea the first time I saw them, but I can't understand why they chose these "images". They look like nothing in particular, and do defeat their functionality.
I agree - I love this site, but this makes me wonder, Have we entered re-run season? Or, more troubling, is there a special deal with the vendor?
I can just see all the spaghetti noodles and other random stuff you would run down the diposal caught up in those things...I'm thinking doing the dishes would be worse.
$100??? Heck no. You can get a regular and more effective one at the dollar store.
$100 is absolutely ridiculous, and I sense that a LOT of stuff would go down the hole and clog the drain. What a waste of money!
Something tells me the vendor may have an overstock.
Since it doesn't have the functionality of a strainer (I think it is just a drain) I am wondering if it can be repurposed - Hmmm - a challenge for AT readers?
What a bummer. I was really starting to adore this site (I suppose I still do), but the obvious product placement is disconcerting? What else has been inconspicuously promoted as great design, when it's in fact an impractical, useless item at a highly inflated price exchanged for advertising profit?
I agree that the holes are too big for this to be functional. I mean good grief!...its a dish drain!...who cares what it looks like!
Maybe AT's bloggers don't bother to read AT themselves?
I agree with all comments. Too expensive, the holes are too big and who sees this anyway. Unreal.
AT Bloggers? Maybe you should take a peek at the site you blog for every now and again. I can't believe we keep getting re-runs of the same stuff. Either be more original or maybe AT should get rid of all these superfluous bloggers.
I didn't get upset :)
I have an old plumbing system so my drains have to actually function as drains--bummer for me.
