The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, also known as the Oscars Museum, is closer to becoming a reality. The Academy announced the space is nearly halfway toward their fundraising goal, and released sketches of the May Company building transformed by Renzo Piano and Zoltan Pali. The 230,000 square foot space devoted to the film industry is set to open in 2016.
