Excellent product. I've used it in past projects and I'll definitely be using it in my current one.

Three years ago, I bought a piece of white oak, and treated half with Osmo Polyx oil, and the other half with a standard urethane. In the ensuing 3 years, I've walked on the board, gotten it wet, scratched it, and left it in the sun. The Polyx oil half is really hanging in there. Since then, we refinished the discovered mahogany trim around our doors using this product, and we are very happy with it.
Having been a woodworker for 30+ years, OSMO is almost the only finish I truly wish to use anymore. Our shop has been using and selling it for over 5 years now. This article lists the pro 5125 which as the name implies is mostly for pros or people with experience using OSMO and takes a special installation tool. You use a scraper to finish with this. For most applications, the 3054 Polyx is the the correct choice which can be applied by brush or ragged on and will give you the same end result. This product is meant to be worked into the wood, not a thin top coat. It's spread rate is rather large/liter and best advice is "less is more" When finishing, make sure you work it into the wood and do not leave any puddling on top. I cannot impress enough - less is more. It is a common mistake to over apply and you will know it when you do. It will be like having candle wax on top of your floors or furniture which will then need to be scraped off and cleaned with mineral spirits before reapplying OSMO correctly. Don't want to scare anybody - it's really not that hard, just don't over apply. Also comes in colors.
