Fighting to get a bottle of wine open can be frustrating, leaving friends waiting at a dinner party or making you even more frazzled at the end of a long day. Although we haven't tried this ourselves, the reviews for it are raving: the Oster Inspire Rechargeable/Cordless Wine Bottle Opener is worth it. Reviewers also said that it was a great gift; very impressive for it's small, $20 price tag.
Didn't finish the last bottle you opened? Use the Houdini Wine Preserver, $13, to get a vacuum seal that keeps air from making your wine go bad; you can even store bottle on their side then.

that oster electric uncorker SHREDS corks. beware.
those vacuum sealers don't do anything. there is no way you're going to get enough of a seal from a hand pump to make a lick of difference to the oxidising that begins the minute you uncork the bottle. nitrous injectors work better, but they're of course much more expensive. for the most part, wine preservers are a bunch of hooey.
