We all read shelter magazines. Let's face it, browsing through them to see beautifully executed and immaculate living spaces is addicting. And sure, we are willing to suspend disbelief and pretend that those people always happen to have gorgeous, rococco displays of fresh cut flowers in artfully placed vases and great great grandmummy's china out on the dining room table, but what irks us to death is how rare it is for these home tours to feature, or even show, childrens' rooms. Do these editors not understand that we need as much inspiration for our nurseries and kids rooms as we do for our kitchens and living rooms? They are denying our need to play design voyeur, which is why we enjoy peeking into LocationWorks online library when we are curious to see how other people are designing their kids rooms. Below the jump, a few of our favourites. This yellow, and the built-ins - fabulous!
Look at the great heart shaped folding chair.
We hope all location scouts start putting their location libraries online. for now, check out this resources of children's rooms and teenager rooms if you are looking for a little inspiration. Where else (besides AT: The Nursery, of course!) do you look for inspiring childrens' room design? Photo credit: all photos, courtesy of Location Works Library
