I grew up with 4 kids, and 2 parents in a house that size. That was a real challenge.

Oh I know what you mean! Trying to find a happy medium between the two styles is challenging and I think I'm throwing in the towel on the beach-cottage look. Anyway, lovely home and I love the dark stain wood furniture in a light home, very dreamy.

Full disclosure: I am Otilia's husband. When we met, I lived in an apartment with a punching bag in the living room and a foosball table instead of a dining room table. We've come a long way since then. Otilia is always on the lookout for antiques at local thrift stores and on Craigslist. Sometimes I complain as I am carting one piece out to replace it with a new one. However, I must admit that I enjoy living in a place that I can be proud of when friends come to visit. She has a unique design style that I love. I wish you could see the rest of our home, but the contest limits the number of photos. Good luck to all of the contestants.

I love this place. Very cozy and homey, and similar to things that I would pick out for my own home. And as someone else said, copper molds!! This put a big smile on my face. I love the kitchen and all the little adorable details.
