These quilt-like bedcoverings are not only beautiful, but a beautiful concept -- what's not a vintage textile is an organic cotton or hemp fabric. One side is a patchwork of printed scarves from the 60s and 70s, and the other side is a solid, new organic fabric.

Ouno's blankets are handmade in Vancouver, B.C. The company aims to "upcycle" -- meaning to recycle older materials into to a higher-end product.

Each piece is unique and fits up to a king size bed. $395 at Ouno.

I did exactly this same thing with bandannas. It looked great and wore well for quite a long time.
