A few more weeks to go before Christmas trees invade living rooms. Being a designer, I love to style my tree from the ornaments right down to the wrapped presents. This year I am swooning over the Jonathan Adler Pop Menagerie Lion ornament. I can't wait to throw on some holiday music and spend some quality time with just me and the tree.

White Enamel Flatwa...
Ugh, I hate all the holiday tchotchke! But, if that weren't the case, I'd have some Jonathan Adler ornaments up for the holidays. So cute!
How are the colorful ball ornaments non-traditional? That's exactly what I think of when I think of traditional ornaments.
That being said, I do love the menagerie ornaments.
Loving the Jonathan Adler ornaments...the rest look like the typical holiday fare to me.
I've always thought the "styled" presents were a bit weird... what do you do about presents that other people give you? Inform them that there's a present dress code at your house?
I knew someone who would re-wrap all the gifts she was given with her own gift wrap that she had chosen as part of that years theme. Nice! I always think trees and gifts look better when it isn't matchy matchy.
Any chance those Jonathan Adler ornaments will go on sale after Christmas? They're adorable!
I love non-traditional ornaments!
I have such wonderful little teakettle ornaments that I bought in China - they are my absolute favorite on my tree, although I wish I would have bought more when I was there.
There are 12 of them, all different colours/patterns, but they are only just over an inch tall/wide so they don't go very far when decorating a whole tree :o(
However I always give them the best spot at eye-level :o)
super sweet and charming!
I adore the Caroline Mitchell native NZ & Australians bird ornaments - sequins & embroidery, but totally different. Am dreaming of hanging a whole flock on a potted wollemi pine.
I don't really think any of these are non-traditional either (the Adler is closest--and adorable), but I love sparkly glass ball ornaments. I wish we were home over the holidays--I would love to decorate a tree.
I've been eying the Jonathan Adler ornaments for about a week.... <3 them all! I'm much more a non-traditional holiday fare decorator as well. I like things to be white, silver, sparkly and wintery versus green & red.
I love ornaments that carry a special meaning or story with them. The ones with pictures of my children in them, the special one reminding me of my deceased Mother, the one made by my Grandmother, etc. I can just sit with just the tree lights on and stare at the ornaments for hours. Now that's what Christmas is all about.
