Here's a shout out to our friends at Cookie Magazine, who've featured us this month in their new April issue. Starting on page 30, you will find a neat monthly article called Mother/Father of Invention, which highlights Ursula, myself (Maxwell) and Sara Kate living for a year and a half in our 265 s/f apartment...

It highlights why we moved when we did - the "breaking point" - and how great Ursula is ;-).
It's just a short little bit of an article, but it also lists my pithy answers to perennial childrearing questions, the choices Sara Kate and I have made in putting together her nursery and provides a nice detailed list of a few of the elements we consider out "top picks."
Best of all, it's really a great pitch for Ohdeedoh, our Kids Design site and the fastest growing of all of our sites, so head over there if you want more of that kind of kid-o thing.

That picture of Ursula? SO MUCH CUTENESS.
Is there no link to the whole article? Have you discussed this issue of the "breaking point" before on AT and I've missed it? No fair addressing this only in a print source that I don't read!
(Obvs, kidding about my "no fair" comment--you have no obligation to discuss it anywhere, I'm just curious.)
What lovely photographs. Stunning.
Ursula is adorable on all counts !!
That's great, and a lovely photo, but "which highlights Ursula, myself (Maxwell) and Sara Kate" is bad, bad, bad grammar. In that case, you could have said that the article "highlights Ursula, Sara Kate, and me."
I just read the article today. I have to say that I was impressed with the suggestions for baby needs. I work as a nanny in Washington DC. There is so much stuff bought for these "wee ones", $1000 cribs they will use for 2 years, max; 2 or 3 strollers, plus backpacks, riding toys, etc. and highchairs at birth! Thank you for putting it out there. Buy smart. Do a bit of research before impulse buying! Awesome!
I'm probably never going to see an issue of Cookie in my life. Is there any way to read it on-line?
Ohmigodness, whooss a litttlee cutttteeeee whoootiieeee.
Hey Alana - I'm in Canada too (Toronto) and have seen cookie in Chapters/Indigos - if you're near one....also once in a while at some of the better-stocked magazine stands.
i love the pictures!!!
Thanks Kiwi.
I would love more info on what new parents need, and what you can skip. This is such important advice!
