When it comes to small space living having high hopes can truly improve the function of a room. Here are 5 floor-freeing ways to make the most of your square footage!
1. A fabulous design from Chris Brigham at Knife & Saw keeps your bike out of the way in style. Bonus points for the extra shelf.
2. Minimalist sculpture meets wood storage! These attractive firewood racks from Euroheat offer a perfect balance of sleek and rustic elements.
3. This may be about as compact as it gets when it comes to hanging your jackets! Bamboo, a renewable favorite, serves as the base for this simple flip-hook coat rack from Organize-It.
4. Not only does this vertical wine holder from Canadian Closet look cool, the design makes sense. Storing the bottles sideways actually prevents the corks from drying out, while mounting them on the wall prevents counter-top clutter!
5. There are lots of modular storage systems out there, but I find the aluminum version at Transform especially pleasing. Like so many of their products this design is clean, practical, and easy on the eyes.

Ok, I love you Re-Nest but come on - we've seen that bike rack a million times!

@franklindean, we've only featured that bike rack ONCE before on Re-Nest, as you noted above, and it fit perfectly into this roundup idea, so yes, it's back.
I'm new to re-nest and have never seen that bike storage. Love it!
But wow the fireplace wood storage is superb.
I also really like the wood storage. I don't have a fireplace, but still really like it.
We stack wood in the back entryway.
The entryway has doors on 4 sides - a large exterior doorway, then a large doorway into the kitchen, then a small interior wood-door, then a small exterior wood-door.
We use a wheelbarrow to bring wood from the shed to the exterior wood-door.
The interior wood-door opens into the living room – directly across from the wood stove.
For orientation:
It's a T-shaped home with the kitchen and bathroom at the front of the house. The living room and upper bedroom face a wooded backyard.
Inexpensive and space-saving options:
Try simple coat hooks.
Store long-handled garden tools in a tall barrel near a garage door.
Store hand tools in a portable box/basket.
Hang a handled basket on a nail.
