A friend of mine was over yesterday, lamenting an old wing
chair she donated two moves ago. Now she has the perfect reading nook
for it, and wishes she could reupholster and use it. I recently got rid of a John Robshaw duvet cover that was severely faded on one side. I cut off a little fabric for craft projects, but realized a week later I should have saved enough to make a throw pillow. Have you ever gotten rid of anything and later regretted it?
To be honest, I have very few regrets about things I've given away. Usually, I haven't used them in a long time or didn't really need them in the first place. That said, I know lots of stories of people who have accidentally given stuff away or who lost family heirlooms when someone else did. When my grandparents died, an overzealous aunt gave away a number of items that other family members wanted — something that still causes issues today. What about you? Are you lucky enough to have no regrets, or are there one or two things you still wish you had? Share your story below.
