There's a certain charm to all things rustic, and the look can be especially appealing in a garden setting, where things naturally acquire a patina. So when we saw this small greenhouse made entirely of salvaged windows and other bits of reclaimed materials, we knew we had to share.
Even the door to this miniature greenhouse is constructed from salvaged windows, complete with a vintage knob and window catch to keep it closed. The greenhouse is just big enough for one person, but there's plenty of room for trays full of seedlings; each side has a shelf just perfect for starting seeds in the cool winter months.

The one on this post is nicer looking though.
I have 6 salvaged vintage windows from a job site that I've been dying to use for something like this, but I didn't think I had enough. This shows that the whole thing doesn't have to be windows, if it's narrow enough. Can we get some approximate dimensions? Looks like maybe about 5' x 7'?
Hi, I made it 7ft by 4ft, 63 inches at top of door. As the roof is vaulted, there is plenty of headroom..We foun the windows at a junk dealer for $3.oo each...BV

BRAVO! I'm totally doing this.
I've been thinking about doing this for a long time! Thanks for sharing! I have a ton of salvaged windows.
