Don't get my wrong, I love roughin' it in the woods, but after planning a car camping trip with a handful of urban dwelling, first time campers, the amenities at Shelter Co. are looking quite attractive...
Tents and supplies are provided for you at the location of your choice in California. With bedrooms nicer than the one in my own home, I'd jump at the chance to stay in one of these peaceful paradises. They can even provide all of your camping accessories for roasting marshmallows, campfire games and whatever else your little heart desires. I'm ready for a s'more...

These do look amazing and $750 a weekend it could be something that I'd might consider doing once. Unfortunately there is a 3 tent minimum, or $2000. That means other friends or family would have to be up for it too. That could be a hassle to arrange.
HI hope Shelter Co. paid AT for the "article" and comment to clarify the the Price and 3 tent min.
this looks awesome. i would totally do this. except i would be too embarrassed to tell anyone else about it, so my friends who came with me would have to be sworn to secrecy
We just watched the old movie, Passage to India. This reminds me of their "picnic", with a complete safari (including elephants) carrying all the simple necessities of 1920's English ladies...
This isn't "camping", this is a portable hotel.
Ok, really really nice looking. But 2k minimum is a bit steep for us apartment dwellers, that much gets me 12 days of lodging in Europe.
Very nice tents. Wish I knew where to purchase those for my own camping... Anyone know?
What are 'European style tents'? Is it $2,000 for just the tent and furnishings or does that include the extras such as outdoor movie theatre and catering services? Are the tents bear-proof?
Love the blanket/throw ... please share the source.
These bell tents have been selling in the Netherlands for a while and become popular in the Uk over the last few years.
I bought one a couple of years ago and have change my camping.
No more waking up in a tiny tent, bowing under the wind and rain, wishing you were at home.
People fit all sorts of things in them, even wood stoves.
These tents make camp so much fun and this is coming from someone who loves to go Biving, wild camping and backpacking.
I got mine for less than £300 (which I thought was a lot for a tent)
I'd suggest buy one and do it yourself, I'm sure for $2000 they would ship 3 from the Uk (if you can't buy them), then you can make your own adventures.
