I don't typically think of camping as being whimsical , but Field Candy's limited edition Outstanding Tents are functional and playful. Some of the designs are chic, some are silly, and none of them are olive drab. Indeed, now we can sleep in a watermelon under the stars.
I found Field Candy's tents on Trend Hunter and was initially intrigued by the design, which seemed fun but also very sturdy. According to Field Candy's site, the tents are made from a 100% cotton inner tent that can be set up in a matter of minutes (all necessary equipment is included), and a waterproof flysheet that protects your tent while also adding some colorful fun to your campsite.
The flysheets are digitally printed, limited edition designs created by individual artists and designers. Their site has a whole page dedicated to designers' bios, which I find really refreshing, since I often wonder who the people are behind the products.
Top Row:
1. "Snug as a Bug"
2. "Fully Booked"
3. "Old Glory"
4. "Get a Room"
5. "Men Only"
Bottom Row:
6. "10,000,000 Fireflies"
7. "Don't Be a Leopard"
8. "Big Top"
9. "Spacious"
10. "What a Melon"

Those are so cool! The patchwork and watermelon are my favorites.
Super cute but super, super expensive.
Being a 'big-cat' fan, hands down on the cheetah print but ALL of them are just WOW. The book, jungle scene, and cabin would be close seconds for me. How fun.
I'm sorry, almost $800 for a TENT? As in, a small canvas structure?
For $800 I'd expect a weekend away at a spa, with hot & cold running masseurs and a solid gold pedicure.
I am picturing an Adirondack black bear checking out that watermelon! "Is that what I think it is? Bear-sized melon!!!???" Yikes!
Seriously overpriced...but "Get a Room" is hilarious. Be careful: "What a Melon" may attract bears! :)
The prints are cute, but if was going to buy a tent, I'd buy one designed for actual camping.
I see a DIY in my future... tent fly plus fabric paint = fun!

ya these are cool, but who in their right mind is going to spend $800-1000 on a tent? A functional tent can be picked up for under $20
