I've been noticing an interesting trend in home decor lately: owls. Owls are everywhere.
Maybe the uptick in owl popularity can be attributed to marketers looking for a newer, hipper iteration of the "put a bird on it" trend. Maybe it's because owls, with their curious, intelligent little face, can often seem strangely human. (Or strangely hungover, as evidenced on my favorite tumblr site of all time.) Whatever it is, owls are freaking cute, and they would like to be in your kitchen, on your sofa, and peeking out of your morning coffee. Who could resist?

I own #4 in yellow and love it!
I am currently awaiting #4 in White and am so, so excited. It'll look so cute on my Thanksgiving table!

2008 called to tell you you're 2000-and-late on this one. But I love them. Every year should be owl year.
Actually, that call was from 2001... Clue: once it's being mass produced in China for West Elm, The trend has gone through the fad stage and is officially over.
