It might be because we're in the middle of an unusually frigid period here in Los Angeles, where temps have dipped into the high-20's catching us LA kids unaware and unprepared (practically like snow in Hawaii!), but we're liking this playfully ornate bioethanol fuel wall mounted fireplace for the warmth it promises.
The Ozzio fireplace would be a sight for sore eyes and cold hands here at our household right now, where we're still awaiting delivery of a new heater, resorting to wearing long snowboarding socks and a lot of cuddling out of necessity (and some affection). N
These bioethanol fuel based fireplaces do not require a flue or a hard connection, can be fit into a variety of small spaces (as illustrated by Ozzio's design), and can be turned on and off with a switch, making them theoretically a perfect cold weather solution for small space dwellers. But the price makes them a luxury item for now. So for now, we'll just have to ask Mr. Scrooge for an extra coal for the fire and hope the FedEx delivery truck appears early than later tomorrow. o

White Enamel Four-P...
The high 20's? Where do you live? In Hollywood it has hardly dipped below 50!
Yeah I'm not sure what part of LA you are talking about because most of the basin hasn't gone below 43 or so.
Parts of the Valley dropped into the mid-20's, and even Silver Lake dropped to 43 just a night ago (I know, because my cold behind was running around the Reservoir with frozen face).
Yeah, 30 minutes north of L.A. here in Valencia it has been a very cold 28 in the early mornings before quickly rising to around 50 something with the sun by afternoon. I'm not complaining at all though! It's stayed clear and sunny and beautiful for the most part - and even when it's windy (or raining for that matter) I'll take it over 100 degrees ANY day!!!
Oh, and the fireplace looks cool too :)
where can you find it on their website?
"where can you find it on their website?"
I can't find it either - must be made of Etherware...
I don't doubt it's cold inland and further up the coast (they closed the Grapevine for snow this week), but it has not been in the high 20s in LA!
43? Oh noes! No wonder everyone in Whole Foods was wrapped up and shivering like characters in a Dickens novel!
I love that fireplace!
that is absolutely awesome!
