A room of this size looks like it would hold a twin bed nicely. I could also see fitting in two twin beds. But three twin beds in one small space? That's audacious.
In fact, we love the way this room looks. The close proximity of the beds is a perfect set up for young kids. So the next time you're planning furniture layout in a small space, challenge conventional decorating wisdom and try placing beds closer than you normally would. It's beautiful and from this picture looks like it is for a beach/summer house. I definitely think it could work in that context where kids are not spending anytime in their room other than sleeping-but I think for their home bedroom they need a little space for play/moving around. Really beautiful styling though.
i agree with rebecca@feelyummy . my grandmother said she and her sibblings all slept in the same bed together. all piled up. i like the thinking out of the box...hope the kids can put there own sheets on. my fat momma legs would not be happy between those beds. !
I would have loved to jump across the room from one bed to the next! I love the idea of a sleeping-only room. This would work out perfectly. Three siblings in such close quarters would hopefully get to be really close (emotionally). You could even hold hands in bed.
Looks like my childhood room setup. And, yes, we did do a triple jump of sorts across the room!
This is gorgeous. Love the simple white bedding to keep it from feeling cramped. Totally awesome for kids and sleepovers, but I could also see a couple of girl friends hanging out staying up all night chatting.
I love this!! So inspiring that small ordinary spaces can also be fabulous!
Does anyone know where to buy those shades???
I've been wanting to line up my three kids in twin beds once they are all out of cribs, but was thinking no room in my house would be large enough for that setup until seeing this post. Perhaps it would be possible! I might have to bust out the measuring tape. Would work out for us too since we have a playroom as well and our kids only sleep in their room.
I love this!!!
