Denton, TX
Division:
Dark
Inspiration for my palette:
We wanted a dark color to create a peaceful sleep cave that induced rest. Initially we considered other deep neutral grey options but decided to go with this beautiful inky shade.
Colors used in my room:
Sherwin-Williams "Mount Etna" for wall/ceiling color and trim.
Tips for using color successfully:
Do what makes you happy. For us, that means using the same wall color for trim details and also choosing neutral colors that make our extensive art collection pop. The real punches in our room are the bright reds and pinks of the Moroccan rug we picked up on our honeymoon, the Peruvian wool blanket on our bed, and the large abstract painting by Tuesdee Halbert that sits on our dresser. The dark cool slate walls are the perfect backdrop.
