Gray may not be the first color one thinks of for a nursery, but more and more parents are choosing it for their little ones. Gray's versatility allows for serious creativity in furniture and decor choices - it coordinates with virtually ever other color. Not to mention that its soothing nature is perfect for a sleeping space. But it can be tricky when it comes time to choose the perfect shade. Too light and the space will look washed out; choose the wrong undertone and it can quickly clash with your decor. To help with this difficult decision, I've chosen some spaces and swatches that get it just right.

Shaw's Original Fir...
The top photo in this post actually inspired my own daughter's nursery color scheme when I saw that room posted on here early last year. I painted the walls Cathedral Grey by Behr and almost copied those yellow & white chevron curtains before opting for yellow & white ikat print curtains instead. I submitted photos of her room back in February and am hoping you'll post them some day!!
Lovely -- we used Benjamin Moore Covington Gray in ours as a backdrop to a navy blue, white, and dark brown (wood, other accents) palette.
I keep seeing these grey nursuries, but the book The Door to December by Dean Koontz has ruined the idea of using grey in childrens' rooms for me.
love this. I was going for a light grey nursery but the paint turned out to be too dark & dungeony. I'm going to try again in our new house.
I loveeee gray nurseries. I painted an accent wall in my daughter's room Benjamin Moore's Congington Gray! Love it!!
we painted the 'guest room' light gray when we moved in... and liked it so much that we left it that way for the arrival of our baby... http://www.mintinthemiddle.com/2012/05/lucys-nursery-reveal.html
