Shaw's Original Fir...
They all look like cafeterias to me. #5 is acceptable.
I had a kitchen with ONE orange wall the color in this photo and i loved it. It was sunny and energetic.
All four walls though would make me feel like i was being assaulted or on some 70's game show.
Orange is wonderful in the right amounts on a wall.
I think orange is perfect for a kitchen. It's warm, social and cozy. It makes me want some oatmeal cookies and tea....
Is that b/c orange is supposed to stimulate the appetite, Rainarana? Someone told me that once in an orange cafeteria.
@vintage birthday- Hmmm, I've never heard that, but it could be the reason why.
This feature seems unfair. Even though orange is already considered a strong, brash color, the selected rooms all choose to present it undiluted by anything but white, as if to reinforce the idea that it's a difficult color to work with and it will overwhelm any room. Many people will look at these and say "Never!" but they might have been attracted to rooms with coral and aqua, or saffron and sage, or tangerine and hot pink, or marigold and buttercup ...
I think 2, 3 and 5 look good. I love orange in the Fall, but I'm not sure I could live with it all year long. It's one of those colors I usually like best in small doses and it has to be the right shade.
