If you're putting together a nursery and you want to add a unique piece of furniture, the dresser is a good candidate. A painted piece like this dresser we found on Design Sponge would work great as a dresser/changing table. See the before photo below.

Unlike other furniture pieces like the crib or table and chairs, the dresser doesn't necessarily have to be scaled down for little ones so a much larger selection is available. A jade green paint with updated knobs would really stand out in a small room.
