We're not sure why we're so in to this curly, embellished stuff right now, but there you go. These paisley wall sconces (the idea of a sconce alone being somewhat of an aberration) are stunning, especially punctuated with the chubby round candles.
Wrought of steel with a bronze-colored coating, sales of the sconces benefit a food program in Honduras.
$129 for the pair here.

You're probably into curly embellished stuff at the moment because you're tired of writing about modernist/minimalist objects; after all, there's only so many ways to say "spare".
But stay strong! Resist ornament! Remember Adolf Loos! For he was right!
Well, he was right about some things; not so right about others. His paedophilia, f'rinstance.
But! He was right that "the evolution of culture is synonymous with the disappearance of ornament from useful objects"...
I normally abhore a wall sconce with a candles... but I am strangely drawn to these!
Ugh. Modernists. Too bad there's this pesky little thing called "humanity" that comes along and messes up all the pristine clean lines.
See...there IS life beyond MCM!
I'm not exactly into sconces, but the paisleys are nice!
Love the sconces.
Despise this sentiment: "the evolution of culture is synonymous with the disappearance of ornament from useful objects"
I'm holding out for the day when "graceful curve" becomes the new "clean line." Culture is synonymous with the disappearance of ornament when culture is also synonymous with an etiolation of human creativity.
Those are so cute! I don't think I like them as sconces though. I wonder how easy it'd be to take the candle holders off.
ugh... the worst of pier 1 tackiness. I'm all for curves and for mixing it up, but... this?
