We talk a great deal about reusing pallet wood around these parts. After all, it's easy to come by and can prove to be an inexpensive and resourceful way to make things for your home. That said, do you know what to look for when you go out pallet hunting to bring home the best wood possible?

Donna over at Funky Junk Interiors can turn a pallet into just about anything if given the opportunity. Recently she's released a great list of tips and tricks that cover everything from what pallets to choose to how to remove nails and make the boards usable.

Although we've used pallets for all sorts of things in the past, we've never really put too much consideration into how we can make the utilization of this discarded product easier. Some boards have been chemically treated while others aren't and some are too heavy or nail ridden. Donna addresses all those concerns and more.
