Earlier this week we showed you another pallet project—an outdoor lounger, in that case. As a result of that post, we got another neat reader project: Bruce Hanamura from San Diego makes pallet potting benches from pallets he gets for free on Craigslist. They'd certainly double as an outdoor bar or side table as well.
You can contact Bruce through his website, Village Carpentry, for more information.
Thanks, Bruce!

Pallets are my new love!! So far, I've made 4 cool, basic tables from pallets acquired from my local Home Depot,
and some 2X4's purchased there.
Soon moving on to the potting bench and other furniture, it's just a cool, useful thing to do!
What an awesome idea. I am going to have to file this away in my "to do" pile. Love the idea of using something that otherwise gets discarded.
I've been an Apartment Therapy lurker for about two years now. Love all the sites but it took this post about perfect pallet projects for me to make the jump to posting a comment. As soon as I can source a source of used pallets, dig out my hammer and buy nails I'll be getting busy!
Cheers,
