We never fail to be inspired by Rachel at Smile and Wave. Longing to hit the open roads and have some adventures with her family – but not able to do this at the moment – she tapped into the travel vibe and created this wonderful paper airplane garland in her (already pretty cool) dining area.
Says Rachel:
I kept the leftovers out from a drawing party that Sebastian and his new friend, Hope, had last night while her mom, Katie, and I discussed our late night crafting habits and what not. The [garland] string has been up since Sebastian's birthday party because I love the idea of a changing garland in this space that reflects each season/occasion. I folded paper airplanes while Ruby explored the underbellies of the new chairs.

this is oh-so-beautiful! I don't know which I like better, the airplane bunting or the dining room itself.
This totally reminds me of how Anthropology is decorated. There are always such cool crafty ways people come up with to decorate that just leave me floored. I know my students would love to decorate the classroom, and I am going to try it . . . until the fire marshal comes to visit!
i first saw the clipboard-on-wall idea at the studio tour of ali edwards,

and purchased some clipboards during back-to-school sale to do the same and i love it! it's such a fuss-free way to display less-standard sized prints and to rotate them around.
