When I opened up my e-mail this morning, I received a big surprise. My good friend sent out an invite to a secret late night cave exploration. She has been talking about this secret cave for months, so it has created quite a buildup in my mind. Since I have caves on my mind today, I thought I would share this incredible paper cone cave installation I came across.
Designers Wendy Plomp (WND) and Edhv used the paper cones to replicate icicles in caves. They secured hundreds of cones to both the ceiling and floor. I wish I could have seen the installation in person, which was up during fashion week in Milan!

Shaw's Original Fir...
Amazing.
Gorgeous. (Though these were probably modeled on stalagmites and stalactites, not icicles.)
This reminds me of Maurice Sendak's scary-cute illustrations in Where the Wild Things Are.
Interesting and artsy. But one question: Why?
This is beautiful. It gives me chills just looking at these pictures.
Wow... this looks super cool!
Too cool. I'm gonna go cover my house in paper cones now.
Why? Why NOT?! This is awesome.
Very (VERY) cool. Also, freakin my mind out.
Fun. It would feel like being in the mouth of a gigantic clown shark.
Now that's something I never thought of before. It would be great for a party room.
