If you were inspired by Meg's amazing cardboard table, perhaps you'll want to check out another DIY cardboard furniture project. Instead of paint, these stylin' chairs are covered with decorative paper (we think fabric would be great, too) for a little Charlie & Lola-like flair.
We found the how-to for this project on Disney's Family Fun site. They estimate it will take 2-3 hours making it do-able in an afternoon (or two if you have a toddler or baby underfoot). You could choose paper to match your kid's bedroom or playroom or skip the paper and let them decorate them with markers and stickers for a less sophisticated look.
Find the directions right here (and let us know if you make them!)

My sister-in-law's husband is South African. In S. Africa, it is common to make baby seats out of cardboard boxes. It's kind of like a Bumbo (?) seat in that it helps the baby sit up, but better b/c it's "green" and you can decorate it in whatever way you see fit. My niece's grandmother made her one and I thought it was the best idea ever. If I knew how to post a picture, I'd post one here.
