Russian artist, Yulia Brodskaya, creates these beautiful images out of ribbons of paper. They are so perfectly crafted that it is hard to believe that they are hand made. The paper sculptures are an inspiration for what could be made with everyday materials accessible to all of us. More photos after the jump...
We love the variety of her paper-craft artwork. Brodskaya uses her typographical skills and knowledge of color in amazing combinations. Some are in all colors of the rainbow and others can be white on white. Even her "Run Out of Ideas" piece is spectacular. Maybe because Valentine's Day is tomorrow, but our favorite one is the heart piece. Enjoy beautiful Yulia's creations!

Eye candy!
It's called "Quilling" if you are interested in trying it out. You can find quilling supplies (including precut paper) online or at well stocked craft stores.
How amazingly lovely.
Wow, never seen it done so intricately.
A little behind the times. Saw this back in December here:

Also saw the Chanel work here:

This post also lists the quilling so it looks like you got both from there.
that is really amazing, and very inspirational.
How beautiful! I'm tempted to try making one of those myself, but I know the results would be laughable.
tr, that's punky and makes you sound like a snob. Who cares who saw it first, as long as good work is shared.
these are fantastic. martha stewart feb. 2002 (? or 03) had a how-to on quilling. probably on their website.
wow..she's taken quilling in a very modern and cool direction
i LOVE these! So gorgeous and intricate...
Oh I love quilling! I had someone make my placecards at my wedding by quilling! This is 100 times better!
