Dubbed "the world's simplest armchair," Paq is a casual convertible system that unzips into a spare mattress and night table when you need it — and folds back up into a cushy chair when you don't. The chair was conceived by Hungarian product designer Géza Csire, who needed a way to hide a spare mattress and make room for seating in his small apartment at the same time. He came up with a prototype for a simple system that includes a mattress, changeable cover, and cylindrical drum. The drum forms the base of the seat and hides the sheets when Paq is in chair mode. When the whole package is disassembled, the drum becomes a nightstand. Clever! To view the full line of Paq chairs, visit their website.
