Cotton Voile = Thin and Flimsy

I like the ensemble in the first photo but am mystified by the bag of apples. "I dropped by the farmer's market and then decided to take a nap."

Reminds me of a similar thing sold at Anthropologie. The Paeonia Bedding I believe. But clearly not as ruffled or as expensive. I personally really like it.

This is similar to the Anthro duvet, but not as luxe, as mentioned above. The Target Shabby Chic line also has a duvet cover exactly like this one. It's about the same price, except it's on sale at Target every other month. I picked one up on sale at Target for about $60 for a Queen and have been happy.

Ruched Cotton Voile will never look the same after washing so it looks good now but not so much later...

Aren't parchutes made of silk? Or maybe that was when I was a kid, a million years ago, and we played with them in phys. ed.

Now I guess they'd be rip-stop nylon or some other synthetic.

I'd go for the white parachute duvet cover in a New York minute if it were silk...

buyer beware when it's west elm. you'll be drawn in by the design, resign yourself to the prices, only to be disappointed with the quality. we just bought a set of organic cotton towels at a post xmas sale. we got a nice lecture from a nice sales person about what a steal they were, only to take them home and unwrap (unfold) them, and find that 5 out of 6 of them were snagged all over, and literally falling apart. they were tied in a bundle in the store and fastened with plastic, so it would not have been easy to inspect. never again.

Looks great and I would be delighted if the cotton voile would work for menopausal women. I've give anything for a good nights sleep without night sweats and this looks like it could possibly be a keeper. Anyone try it?

Women my age will experience the need to rip off everything on their bodies within five minutes of wearing synthetic textiles. Ugh! So, sleep is a real issue. I'd love to hear more about cotton bedding that has some wrinkle resistence.

I love the way this looks, but I too would be concerned about quality. This is blatantly plagarized from Anthropologie's Cirrus Bedding - it's more expensive but also might be better quality?

@Michele--check out the website www.drinights.com if you are looking for a way to stay comfy at night. i got some bamboo sheets for my mother in law from them awhile back and i am now the favorite.... :)
