We dig the ability to choose from a range of sizes and finishes for the Parsons and Portica tables at Room and Board. However, not until review of the store's bulky 2007 catalog did we realize that you can create completely custom sizes for these tables.
So, not only can you choose from their range of about 25 sizes for the line of dining, cocktail, console, and end tables, you can create your own. Which is fantastic. Has anyone struggled with finding a long, narrow dining table? Most standard sizes are 36" wide. With this customization option, you can have that 80"x30" table that would fit your space perfectly.

It looks like the customization does not carry any additional charges but does require waiting additional time. Of course customization is always an option if you can afford to have furniture built just for you at custom shops. But this customization is in the realm of affordability for more of us: that custom 80"x30" Portica table with a solid walnut top will run you less than $1800.

You can also customize the parson tables at the door store
perfect. just what i've been looking for. thanks regina
I just ordered a custom portica base a couple of weeks ago for my breakfast bar in my new kitchen. COunter height, 55" long and 16" deep. It's much cheaper than the estimate I got from a fabricator in the restaurant district! I can't wait til it's done(they told me about 5 weeks)
