As we learned from Anna's Retrospect post on the subject last year, the Parsons table was created in a furniture design class at the Paris campus of the Parsons School of Art and Design in the 1930s — and its been going strong ever since.

Walmart made one for years, which costs $49.99. Don't know if they still sell it though.

FYI, and not to be pedantic, but the one from Mike's MCM, while very pretty, is totally not a Parsons table. Parsons tables by definition have four legs.
I bought the WalMart version in white last year, ordered online and picked up in store. It's not the most well made piece of furniture but it serves it's purpose as a vanity table in my bedroom.

@MrsMollyK Same thing, but for the Overstock option. I actually use the sofa table version as a computer (laptop) desk.
Martha Stewart also has a pale cerused Parsons Desk now - it's sold at Staples for a really good price (got two myself for a little under $300 a piece).

Target has one right now for $39.99...mixed reviews but it looks pretty decent for the price.
Does that chair actually sit comfortably at that desk? I'd love to have a pretty chair like that at my west elm parsons. Please let us know what it is!
