There was a time when we could think of no more perfect desk for our space than the Parsons from West Elm, save the fact the length didn't work for us at that time. We've since moved on, and just as Murphy's Law would dictate, West Elm has come out with a shorter version of the design classic.
But while this would be tempting for someone in a space crunch, the proportions lose some of the magic of the original. We wouldn't have gone for it had it been an option, but it's nice to know it exists. What do you think?
$229, at West Elm.

The proportions are a little wonky.. It reminds me of a newborn foal on lanky legs. However, it's nice that they offer a smaller option for tight spaces.
you know, these look fantastic, but i'm not sure how i would function without drawers. i'm looking into desks right now -- how do the rest of you do w/o storage?
Pinko, I think this has a drawer, no?
Meg_ues, I'm not Pinko but I need drawers, not a drawer.
I do like this a lot.
thanks, guys -- upon closer inspection, i see that there is a drawer. like jean, i'd need more (and deeper) drawers.
