There aren't many times in life when you have a legitimate reason to swing a bat at anything other than a baseball, but piñatas give us that lucky break (assuming your kids are old enough to wield one). Instead of worrying about each kid getting enough of the payoff when it falls to the ground, try this simple tip to keep it all equal.
It doesn't matter if you made a piñata or picked one up at your local party supply store or grocer - filling them up with goodies can feel a little daunting. Sometimes it's nice to put things in that aren't sugar based, but worrying that each child will get one of everything inside is a legitimate concern.
Instead, try portioning out your piñata guts into zip top bags first. We suggest using the snack size bags as they'll fall out of a hole easier in case little hands can't quite knock the piñata clean open. It's a simple way to keep everyone in line while still having a little fun, plus it will allow you to add things that you might not normally be able to that could get lost in the grass.
