Ok, this is insane. Not only is this pendant lamp designed so that its shade can actually bloom to allow more light out, but it all spit out of a 3-D printer. And that's not the only thing that darn machine was able to zap out.

The lamp was designed by Patrick Jouin for 3-D printer company, Materialise. It's one of dozens of amazing products that includes pendants, chandeliers, desk lamps, furniture, and home accessories all imagined by designers and manufactured via a 3-D printing press.

The entire 2010 .MGX collection will debut at the Milan Furniture Fair in April. The above photo of Bloom, by Patrick Jouin, is a sneak peak of the collection. The rest are current products that are part of the .MGX collection.
