Paul McCobb's certainly got a loyal following, but it's always struck us as odd that he's never been as well-known as other more recognizable Mid-Century Modern designers. Odd because in our opinion, Paul's simple, sleek, modern yet extraordinarily elegant furniture pieces are some of the most lovely designs from that era, and no doubt influenced a great many designers (even some of the big name ones) for years to come. Facts:
Quote: "Design appeal is based on integrity of form, simplicity of line, and true organic function."
Attended: Studied art, drawing and painting at the Vesper George School of Art in Boston.
Known for: Elegant furniture, textiles, wallpaper, lighting, dinnerware, radios and more in a simple, modern style that was high-design but still accessible enough for almost anyone to have in their homes.
