At 528 square feet (for the main building), here's a vacation home that doesn't dwarf our urban dwelling, like many do.

Located on Decatur Island in Puget Sound, smart design took advantage of the minimal space, as well as the spectacular view.

What a lovely and cozy retreat. I think vacation homes should be small and delightful, not huge imposing structures. It's about the beautiful surroundings afterall, right?

wow, just the right amount of everything.
wow, what a phenomenal house!
Beautiful little house - I could live there full-time!
It's 528 for the main SECTION, not the main BUILDING. By which I'm guessing is the downstairs portion or "main floor" of the larger building. "with a main section of just 528 square feet."
Because it adds this description of the upstairs:
"The second story shelters two primary bedrooms on the view side, with a pair of bathrooms between them, and a second pair of smaller bedrooms in back."
The link in the article didn't work to go to their site, so here is the correct site link, directly to their other AWESOME residential projects:

Finally! Architects who love nature and they can really think small and cool with 450 sq ft:

I have to boast that I have met the architects - they do beautiful work indeed and are also very nice people
