Name: Pearl (6 months)
Location: Portland, OR
For Pearl's room I had two contrasting ideas in mind. First, we practically needed it to be a room that could potentially house a boy as well down the road. She will be sharing the room with our eventual second child and just in case we have a boy, we didn't want to repaint or do a ton of redecorating. Secondly, it is the only room in the house where I had free reign to do something girly.
I am pretty girly and was itching to add a bunch of cuteness. I settled on using artwork, DIY projects, and easily removable wall decals to get the girly feel. The room was put together on a budget and we were lucky to find a used furniture set for a small sum.
We decided on the green paint color as it is bright and fun, gender neutral, and went great with a lot of the items we had received as gifts. As an apparel designer, I am not afraid to mix color and pattern so I felt comfortable doing a room with no "color theme."
We are hoping that with a few changes here and there, this will be a versatile room as our family grows.

I like the space but this post could really use some editing.
What a great owl clock! Nice job on the room too, I feel it's perfectly gender neutral. All you'll need is baby two's name on the wall and it's good to go!
I love Pearl's letters and the pom pom garland!
Cute room! Where did you find the letters for Pearl's name?
Mae - Thank you! They are paper mache letters from JoAnn fabric that I covered in fabric scraps with Modge Podge.
So cute, and I have the same clock!
