PecanPals: Eco Friendly Art Toys

PecanPals are made from the typically discarded wood of rubber trees. These "non-vinyl toys" have names, adventures, articulated parts and are all crated and hand painted from the team over at Noferin. Above is 4 of our favorites, just look at those little logging boots! Click through the jump to learn more!

Noferin, has created the whimsical world of Carrara Island and its inhabitants (the PecanPals) “meshing the fine art, design and literary worlds together in a complete and unique package.” Inhabitants that could easily succeed as designer vinyl toys, but that are actually now made of wood. Each series of Pecanpals is limited to "300 friends" and are all made from 100% sustainably harvested wood. They retail for $45 each, but hurry, they're selling out quick! Check out which one's are still available!
