When we wrote about seeing Shinzi Katoh's housewares at Penelope's, we realized that this Wicker Park shop wasn't yet in our store guide, so we thought we'd add it. Although Penelope's is primarily a clothing store, they also carry artwork, prints, and eclectic accessories for the home...

Their selection of home goods is small, but the store owners have a great eye for the offbeat. Whenever we stop by, we find something new that we love. Prices for housewares range from the low end up to several hundred dollars for original artworks.

Penelope's doesn't have a website with online purchasing, but they do have a blog with photos and prices of in-store goods. They claim to ship "almost anywhere" if you call and place an order over the phone.
